Canada's first Carney budget goes public

As we all know, the budget aims at strengthening #Canada's resilience against the emerging new economic threats that have been surfacing, over the past year or so.

The Budget, available here, tables a strong economic resilience focus, and seemingly has regrouped it's vision in four key investment sectors that aim at building the nation while also reinforcing our relations with our trustworthy allies, with whom we continue to build a world where human rights, community and equality, matters.

One commenter noted that the 2 billion tree project had been scrapped, while also noting that over 1billion trees would be planted through this program by 2031. Critics will ask, is this a success, or a failure? While undoubtebly meeting a regrettable demise, and possibly not a warranted one, we can definitely predict some critics calling this an absolute failure, but that's no surprise, seeing as their donors list, or associates, are notable opponents to any forms of #ClimateChange prevention, preparedness or even recognition. But from my perspective, more trees can hardly ever be a problem, and I'm pretty sure the lumber industry would agree, generally speaking.

From a scientific perspective, one may celebrate the billion trees being successfully planted, considering that wood is among the rarest substances in the universe, and directly contributes positively to problems like erosion, or air quality - So cosmically, our collective stock might have just went up.

What did you think of the Carney Budget? Should we fight to make the 2 billion trees happen? Is the new budget satisfying on the #social and #community front?
